ShipSure provides two distinct types of shipping protection fee structures to help you balance flexibility, simplicity, and revenue protection based on your business model:
1). Fixed Plans
Fixed Plans allow you to charge a fixed shipping protection fee based on cart value ranges. These are ideal for stores with predictable cart values or businesses that prefer fixed charges for clear customer communication.
Why choose Fixed Plans?
✔ Best suited for stores with multiple cart value ranges
✔ Allows you to create up to 99 pricing tiers
✔ Ensures clear, upfront protection costs for your customers
Example:
Cart value ₹0–₹500 → ₹19 protection
Cart value ₹501–₹1500 → ₹39 protection
How to Set Up Fixed Plans:
Go to Protection Fees in the ShipSure app.
Select Fixed Plan.
Choose Plans Based on Cart Value from the dropdown.
Enter the Minimum Cart Value, Maximum Cart Value, and Protection Fee.
Click Calculate — the system will auto-generate up to 99 plans based on your input.
2). Percentage Plans
Percentage Plans calculate the protection fee as a percentage of the total cart value. The fee increases with order size, offering a flexible pricing structure.
Why choose Percentage Plans?
✔ Ideal for stores with varied cart values or frequent order fluctuations
✔ Automatically scales with order value
✔ Provides consistent, proportional protection fees
Example:
Default Fee: ₹5
Increment: ₹0.50 per range
Formula: Default Fee + (N × 0.50) up to your configured maximum
Note: If you notice that the protection fee stops increasing after a certain cart value, we recommend using Fixed Plans for higher-value orders.
Global Rule
If no specific plan matches the customer’s cart, a Global Protection Fee applies. This is a fallback fixed amount that ensures every order has coverage.
Quick Setup Guide
To Set Up Percentage-Based Charges:
Go to Pricing Settings in the ShipSure app dashboard.
Select Percentage-Based Pricing.
Enter the desired percentage (e.g., 2.5% of the order value).
Click Save to apply the changes.
To Set Up Fixed Charges:
Go to Pricing Settings in the ShipSure app dashboard.
Select Fixed Charge.
Enter your desired fixed amount (e.g., ₹49, $3, etc.).
Click Save to finalize.
